My Little Girls Nursery {Tour}

Panic took over when I realised we were in a ONE bed house & Harper wouldn’t get her own room! Where is everything going to go!!? “We will work it out, we always do” was David’s response – he’s always right!

When we moved it was like at was meant to be! The new three bed house meant that she would have her room and we would STILL have space for a spare bed …and storage!

Straight away we got started. After decorating every room in the house David was knackered, and I was heavily pregnant and could’nt be bothered to argue or do it myself … all the walls were painted white, no fancy feature wall etc. So I had to think of ways to bring a bit more character to the room.

The main pieces :

Our cot (Gonatt cot from Ikea) and changing unit (Mamas & Papas) were second hand, passed down from my sister. I just gave the unit a lick of white paint so it matched with other items in the room.

The wardrobe (Here) and storage unit (Here) were both Ikea… god I love that place!

& the rocking chair was also second hand from Facebook Marketplace, again I spruced it up with a bit of grey paint so it matched the cot – not bad for a tenner!!

The details :

I absolutely love the idea of a ‘forest animal’ theme! It came after seeing the cutest forest animal prints on Etsy (Here) I just printed them & put them in pink Ikea frames (Here) to make them stand out!

Then the ‘enchanted forest’ animal print cot bedding from Next (Coverlet & Bumper) – this was too beautiful to say no to! I got the whole set including bumper but that will be taken off once she starts sleeping in the cot!

With the prints on the wall, it still felt bland to me… so I ordered these wall stickers from eBay (2 packs of 7cm gold dots) and her name from Etsy (Here). I am so happy with these! They make the whole room, they bring it all together and makes it such a nice space for her.

Most of the other bits were cheapy items, gifts or moved from another room!

Her mirror was bought for our first house, I used the grey paint from the rocking chair and sanded it a little to give it a rustic look.

The cute little belly baskets were from Poundland! Pretty chuffed with two for £4 (thanks to the closing down 70% off sale!!) I just have to decide what to put in them now…

& probably one of my favourite items is the felt handmade Deer head that my sister & mum got for her – it’s adorable!! This was made by a company named The Sunburnt Snowman (Find her on Facebook here) they’re pretty good!

I could list everything in this room, I love it all! I am so proud of us for making it a little haven for her. Her room is my favourite room of the house & as much as I’m going to hate it, I can’t wait for her to sleep & spend time in there!

If you would like to find out where anything else is from, I can let you know.
